A tranquil space in the heart of the city

The Japanese Garden of Imagination will be created in the Old Zoo thanks to financing from the participatory budgeting.

It will include plants and small urban architecture reminescent of the japanese-style gardens, encouraging its visitors to relax close to nature. The project is to be a meeting space, inciting dialogue and giving a chance to slow down. The garden will be just a few steps away from Epika Jeżyce.

Life in color

Walking around Jeżyce one can admire not only the beautiful town houses, but also some amazing murals that keep appearing in the district.

At Słowackiego Street no. 62 there is a mural depicting the Borejko family from a popular series of books by Małgorzata Musierowicz which takes place in Jeżyce. Nearby, at the Wawrzyniaka/Słowackiego intersection there’s a mural made with air-purifying paint. At Dąbrowskiego Street no. 28 Magda Danaj, a popular graphic artist, created a colorful mural about women of Poznań. And at Gajowa Street you can find a mural commemorating 5 famous women whose personal histories are somehow connected with Jeżyce.

Neon lights

Neons both old and new decorate streets in the Jeżyce district.

Neon of the Rialto Cinema is definitely the most recognizable one. But one can easily find more neons on the facades of stores and restaurants in the neighbourhood. They not only look great, but also create a unique atmosphere in the evenings.
